Getting started
Open the installer
Double-click the downloaded .dmg file. A window appears showing the Chip icon and a shortcut to your Applications folder.
Drag Chip to Applications
Drag the Chip icon onto the Applications folder. macOS copies it in seconds.
Launch Chip
Press ⌘ Space, type Chip, and press Enter. Or open it directly from your Applications folder.
Sign in with Google
Click Sign in with Google inside Chip. Your browser opens briefly — sign in and it redirects back to the app automatically.
Point Chip at your project
In settings, set your project folder. Chip reads your codebase locally — nothing leaves your machine unless you choose a cloud model.
That's it.
